KARACHI: The devaluation of the Pakistani rupee (PKR) against the US dollar continued as the greenback traded at 230.89 rupees in the interbank, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
Since the opening of business this morning, the value of the US dollar has been witnessing an increase in the value of the dollar, after increasing by Rs 7.11 paisa to Rs 237 rupees in the interbank market.
Yesterday, the dollar closed at Rs 230.89 paise in the interbank. On the other hand, in the open market, the dollar has become Rs 245 after becoming expensive by Rs 2.

According to the General Secretary of the Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan (ECEP) Zafar Pracha, the purchase of dollars in the open market continues at Rs 243.
On the other hand, positive business trends are being seen in Pakistan Stock Exchange since this morning. Pakistan Stock Exchange 100 index has increased by 469 points to 40, 254.
