RAWALPINDI: The Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi has issued No Objection Certificate to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for holding its public gathering on November 26 with some 56 conditions.

Among other things, the PTI has been asked to take extreme precautionary measures as well as necessary security arrangements in addition to the arrangements made by local police especially during the address of party Chairman Imran Khan.
Khan was shot and injured with 13 others, while one of his party worker lost life in Wazirabad on November 3 when he was leading his Long March towards Islamabad. Since then he has been under treatment at his Zaman Park residence, and has now announced to lead the movement from Rawalpindi on November 26.

In its letter to the PTI leadership, the district administration has asked to ensure that Imran Khan would use the prescribed route as decided by the LEAs and district administration to enter and leave the venue. The party has been asked to ensure that no alternate route shall be used in this regard. Besides these, the PTI Chairman has been asked not to use sunroof of vehicle before during and after the public gathering. He would be moved towards stage in a security escort and use bullet proof cabin during his address.
