KARACHI: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted that the cyclonic storm ‘Maha’ is reportedly 940 kilometers away from Karachi.
Maha over the east-central Arabian Sea has moved north-northwestwards and was located at Latitude 15.4 North and Longitude 71.5 East with maximum sustained surface winds of 90-110 kmph.

The PMD stated that Maha was likely to track further northwestwards and intensify into a Very Severe Cyclonic Storm (VSCS) during next 24 hours.
Currently, there is no threat to the coastal area of Pakistan.

According to an Indian weather official, Cyclone Maha will remain away from the Gujarat coast of India for the next few days but according to weather projections.
It added further that the course of the cyclone will become clear in a few days whether it will landfall in the Gujarat coast or not.
For cyclone Kyarr, the PMD sources said it after losing its cyclonic force Kyarr has dissipated in the Arabian Sea.
The Kyarr cyclone hit the coastal areas of Sindh and Balochistan. Water entered inside homes in Hub.
Seawater also created a hurdle for the residents of Baba Bhat Island and Bhatta Village. The lower Sindh and Makran are expected to receive rainfall from 29th to 30th October.
