KARACHI: Customs authorities at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport intercepted a family returning from Dubai and seized a vast array of valuable electronic items. This raid, executed promptly in response to a tip-off, showcases the diligent efforts of customs personnel in curbing illegal trade.
According to media reports, the family, consisting of four members, was subjected to luggage scanning upon arrival. The customs spokesperson revealed an extensive list of electronics that were recovered during the operation, including:

– 2 iPhone 15 Pro Max
– 3 iPhone 12 Pro Max
– 4 Google Pixel 10 Pro

– 5 iPads
– 5 Mac Minis
– 5 AirPods Pro
– 267 Kindle Paper-white devices
The total value of these seized items is estimated at around Rs.3.4 crore, highlighting the scale of the operation.
Authorities have registered a case against the accused, including Syed Anwar and Zarqa, both residents of Karachi. The case is part of ongoing efforts to combat the smuggling of high-value electronics that evade taxes and regulations, detrimental to the local economy.
Customs officials emphasized their commitment to strict enforcement of regulations, underscoring the importance of vigilance at entry points. With this significant seizure, the customs authorities aim to deter potential smuggling attempts while ensuring compliance with import regulations.
