KARACHI: Sindh government has planned to monitor the inter-provincial borders to take measures of controlling the spread of the coronavirus disease.
In this regard, authorities are ordered by the provincial government to monitor the movement of people arriving in Sindh from other provinces.
The authorities have been directed to do screeing of the travelers before they enter the border and take information from them.
Most cases of the coronavirus until now have been found in Sindh. the 14th case of the disease has been detected in the province.
Earlier, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah’s brother-in-law was tested positive for novel coronavirus in Karachi. He had traveled to Iran and returned to Pakistan two days ago.
Since then, he has been admitted to an isolation ward of a private hospital. He was among nine persons who tested positive for coronavirus in Sindh.
However, the Sindh government also considered moving Pakistan Super League season five (PSL 5) games out of Karachi amid fears of the coronavirus but the idea was later turned down.
