PESHAWAR: A court in Peshawar has issued a stay order against the Pashtun Qaumi Adalat.
The court granted a 14-day stay order following a petition filed by a local resident, Haji Amir Nawaz.
Additionally, the court has prohibited the Pashtun Qaumi Adalat from using the disputed ground for any activities.
The plea stated that the ground utilised by the Pashtun Qaumi Movement (PTM) was developed on the controversial land.
Following the court’s order, the police have been granted maximum authority to maintain peace in the area.
A local resident, Kaseerullah, has also filed a writ petition against the PTM in the Peshawar High Court. The petition requests that the PTM intends to establish another judicial system in the form of the Pashtun Qaumi Adalat.
The high court remarked that the federation has already declared the PTM a banned organisation, so it cannot be involved in any activities.
