WASHINGTON: Coronavirus worldwide cases have crossed 5.6 million mark taking positive patients toll to 5,681,601 with 352,168 deaths while 2,430,461 have recovered.
United States, Spain, Russia, UK, Germany, Brazil, Italy, France are among the worst-hit countries having maximum cases of coronavirus and the numbers are increasing every day.
The United States has reported 1.7 million cases and more than 100,000 deaths. Brazil now has the second-highest number of recorded infections in the world after the United States with 394,507 cases and 24,000 deaths.
Russia stands third in terms of coronavirus deaths and infections with 62,342 cases and 3807 casualties. Italy, which recorded its first coronavirus death at the end of February, has 32,877 fatalities, with 92 people succumbing to the disease in last 24 hours. The country has reported 230,158 infections.
Spain has recorded 27,000 fatalities with infections surpassing 283,000. China has to date declared 4,634 deaths and 82,992 cases, with 78,277 recoveries.
France has reported 96 deaths in a single day, taking the tally to 28,432 deaths and 182,942 cases. The United Kingdom has reported 36,914 fatalities with 121 deaths in the last 24 hours and 261,184 infections.
Saudi Arabia has reported 74,795 cases of coronavirus, while 399 coronavirus deaths have been reported. Mexico has reported 353 deaths in a single day, taking the tally to 7,633 deaths and 71,105 cases.
Germany has reported 8,428 deaths and 180,789 infections. Meanwhile, the death toll is 7,451 in Iran as the confirmed number of cases is almost 137,724.
