KARACHI: The medical equipment of the coronavirus from China has reached Karachi airport today.
Sindh Governor Imran Ismail received the goods on behalf of the federal government, along with the National Disaster Management Officers (NDMA) and other senior officials at the airport.
The medical supplies include 56,000 coronavirus testing kits, N95 masks, and other medical equipment. Speaking on the occasion, Governor Sindh Imran Ismail said that he thanked the Chinese government and the people who supported Pakistan during this difficult time. China will receive more medical equipment soon, he added.
He further said that Prime Minister Imran Khan was personally self-monitoring the coronavirus that has caused the learning situation across the country. With the prime minister’s efforts, China has sent various essential medical devices to Pakistan to deal with the virus, he added.
He said that these tools and the necessary equipment would help our medical staff and doctors fight corona. The federal government would continue to provide such assistance to the provincial government, he added.
