KARACHI: The coronavirus cases in Pakistan are now above 269,000, while the number of casualties has passed 5,700.
The number of confirmed coronavirus cases has surged to 269,191 in Pakistan. According to the National Command and Control Center (NCOC), Pakistan’s coronavirus recoveries are now 213,175 while more than 2,085 cases of coronavirus were reported.
More than 32 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 5,709. At least 707 patients have recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours.

The total number of infections in Punjab stands at 91,129, Sindh 115,213, 32,753 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 11,517 in Balochistan, 14,722 in Islamabad, 1,961 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and 1,896 in Gilgit Baltistan.
Out of a total of 5,709 deaths, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has reported 1,158 deaths, Sindh 2,060, Punjab 2,100, Balochistan 136, Gilgit-Baltistan 45, Azad Kashmir 48, and Islamabad Capital Territory has reported 162 deaths.
Sindh remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of cases followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Islamabad. Pakistan has so far conducted 1,776,882 coronavirus tests and 18,331 in the last 24 hours.
