Sindh Universities Minister Muhammad Ismail Rahu has formed a high-level inquiry committee to investigate the Karachi University incident of clash between two students groups.
According to spokesperson, a five-member high-level inquiry committee has been formed to investigate the incident that occurred between students at the University of Karachi the other day.
The convener of the committee will be Dr. Hussain Mehdi (Vice Chancellor, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University Lyari.
The committee also includes Dr Ghazanfar, Dr Sarfaraz Maitlo, Professor Dr Intikhab Ulfat and Professor Dr Naima Saeed.
Minister of Universities directed the committee that a transparent and impartial investigation should be conducted from every aspect of the incident and the responsible individuals and groups should be identified.
To review the administrative and security negligence and make recommendations for action against those responsible according to the law, Ismail Sahu said.
He said the Sindh government is committed to establishing a peaceful, safe and conducive educational environment in universities.
Ismail Rahu said any kind of violence, unrest or lawlessness will not be tolerated at all and the provincial inquiry committee will submit its report along with recommendations to the Sindh Universities and Boards Department within 15 days.
