KARACHI: The Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah invited the departing Chinese Consul General Wang Yu for a farewell meeting at Chief Minister House in Karachi on Friday.
According to a spokesman of Chief Minister House, Chief Minister appreciated and acknowledged the services of the Consul General and showed appreciated the projects of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) that were launched in Sindh during tenure.
“We the people of Pakistan, particularly of Sindh are thankful to the Chinese government in their unflinching support at the time of need,” The Chief Minister said.
Murad Ali Shah also said that the departing Consul General has helped the provincial government in the completion of the projects.
The chief minister asked the Chinese Consul General for his assistance in reviving the Karachi Circular Railway (KCR).
“The project had been approved at CPEC related JCC meeting but the project was put on the back burner. “Now, I want you to talk to your government to support the Sindh government to construct KCR,” he said.
The Chinese Consul General Wang Yu said he would try his best for the revival of the KCR project. Murad Ali Shah also thanked the Consul General for immense support on the Kashmir issue.
