QUETTA: Chief Minister Mir Abdul Qudous Bizenjo has signed a summary advising to dissolve the Balochistan Assembly.
The chief minister’s advice will be sent to Governor Balochistan for approval today (Saturday) after which the provincial assembly will be dissolved.
In his farewell message, the chief minister expressed his heartfelt thanks to all MPAs, coalition partners, opposition members, and bureaucrats for their unwavering dedication.
Bizenjo said they faced challenges together exemplifying true democratic spirit. “Despite the floods and obstacles in the way of governance, we stood strong. Despite economic challenges, we ensured development in every corner of Balochistan,” he said.
The chief minister said every constituency got equal representation in PSDP which reflects commitment to unity and development.
In less than two years, we have ensured the promotion of gender equality, improved infrastructure, and made every possible effort to ensure health care, education facilities and bring good governance in the province, he said.
Bizenjo said they paved the way to improve the economy of the province by utilizing the mineral wealth of the province. He said the government abolished unnecessary check posts to protect the self-respect of the people and their employment.
He said they provided practical assistance to the farmers to contribute to the agricultural sector of the province. He further said the government paved the way for foreign investment from the historic Rekodiq settlement.
He said the government should be credited for holding clean, transparent and peaceful municipal elections
He said they provided the health card, the first public transport service, revived sports in the province, established new universities and increased grants.
He said they ensured the establishment of girls’ cadet colleges, provision of more jobs and made employees permanent, apart from appointing contracted medical staff.
He said they created a system of digitization and launched e-tendering for transparency in development projects. The green tractor scheme and above all the tireless advocacy of the province in the federation are some of the achievements, he said
“Our journey was difficult, but our determination was strong. As we bid farewell to this chapter, let us look forward with hope,” he said.
“Our collective efforts have paved the way for a bright Balochistan. We have written history together, and together we will continue to build a prosperous future.”
