A Christian priest has allegedly raped the young daughter of another Christian, and has begun threatening to kill the son of the man and share unseemly videos in response to complaints.
This distressing incident emerged in Faisalabad’s Chak Number 108, where a case has been registered at Jhumra police station on behalf of the affected girl’s father, Sada Shahzadi.
According to the FIR, the complainant claimed that Father Naveed Thomas, a religious leader from his village Talwandi, used to frequently visit their home and was highly respected on religious grounds.
The father of the affected girl stated that his 19-year-old daughter, a student of ICS, was told by Father Naveed one day that he would educate her in tuition in Chak Jhumra and arrange for her residence with sisters in the church.
According to the complainant’s FIR, on December 13, 2023, Father Naveed visited their home and took his daughter, Sada Shahzadi, along with him. Later, he allegedly raped her in his room at Gunpoint in the church.
The complainant alleges that Father Naveed continued to sexually assault his daughter for several months thereafter, during which she became pregnant, but the pregnancy was terminated.
According to the complainant, after enduring months of sexual violence, his daughter managed to escape one day and successfully reached home, where she disclosed the entire incident.
The complainant has named Father Naveed, his wife Anita, two other accomplices, and the nurse who arranged the abortion as accused.
The affected girl has appealed for justice, stating that if the accused Father Naveed Thomas is not silenced, he continues to threaten to further disgrace her daughter and to threaten the son with death.
