RWALPINDI: The Chinese and Pakistani armies held a video conference on sharing their experiences in the prevention and control of COVID-19 epidemic on Wednesday.
According to a statement issued by Chinese Ministry of Defence, over 22 health officials and experts of the two militaries attended the video conference from Beijing and Rawalpindi.
During the video conference, the Chinese officials shared the overall situation and experience of the Chinese army’s epidemic prevention and control work as well as COVID-19 detection technology methods and diagnosis and treatment strategies
The statement further stated that experts and officials from both sides also focused on the swap of emergency command coordination, epidemic prevention and control, detection, monitoring as well as clinical treatment of COVID-19 patients and other related issues.
The Pakistani Army officials thanked China for sharing the COVID-19 epidemic prevention and treatment experience by the Chinese army doctors.
The confirmed COVID-19 cases in Pakistan reached 4,204, according to the National Command and Control Centre’s latest statistics released on Wednesday.
As many as 208 new cases of the coronavirus emerged across the country during last 24 hours. So far 467 patients have recovered from the disease, whereas the death toll has surged to 60.
