ISLAMABAD: A Chinese man was arrested for allegedly raping a 16-year-old girl in the federal capital, local Police said on Thursday.
Islamabad Police arrested the Chinese national after the girl lodged a complaint accusing him of rape.
The victim told police that she was employed with a company owned by the suspect, adding that he raped her and threatened her of dire consequences over revealing the incident to anyone.
In the FIR, the girl said she was 16-year-old and a resident of Rawalpindi. According to FIR she had been working in the suspect’s office since May 2021. She claimed the suspect raped her repeatedly since January 2022.
The suspect threatened her of dire consequences if she was to tell anyone about the rape, the FIR quoted the girl as saying.
The girl is 31-week pregnant, as per the FIR. Police have launched an investigation into the matter.
