KARACHI: A case of the grenade attack on Mominabad police station has been registered.
The case has been registered in the CTD on the complaint of SHO Mominabad police station, which includes provisions of the Explosives Act and anti-terrorism.
According to the SHO, two accused on a motorcycle threw something at the police station, and after the blast, the police took an SMG from a soldier and fired three shots at the accused.
The two suspects were surveying the streets around the police station, as per the police. According to the Bomb Disposal Squad (BD) report, an RGD-1 grenade was used in the attack.
It should be noted that two personnel were injured in a grenade attack on the Mominabad police station last night. The SSP West said that the unidentified assailants hurled a grenade that fell near the gate outside the police station. Police returned fire and the accused fled. There were no casualties in the grenade attack.
According to SSP West, the search for the accused has begun. It may be recalled that on 5th August, three persons were injured in a grenade attack in the Korangi Nasir Colony area of Karachi while on 27th July, Karachi police foiled a grenade attempt at the Gulbahar police station.
