Can’t allow JUI-F’s Azadi March as per court’s decision: PM

Provision of electricity at reasonable rates is govt’s top priority: PM
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that he cannot allow Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl s (JUI-F)’s Azadi March to reach D-Chowk in the light of the court’s decision.
Earlier, the talks between the government’s negotiation team and the opposition s Rehbar Committee over JUI-F’s Azadi March.

Defence Minister Pervez Khattak who headed a negotiation team informed the Prime Minister about the outcome of talks with the opposition’s Rehbar Committee.
Earlier, the prime minister said that the government could not allow a protest at D-Chowk or anywhere else in the federal capital with the exception of Parade Ground in light of court orders.

He said that the government recognized the opposition’s right to protest but could not violate court orders.
He added that as per the verdicts of the Supreme Court and the Islamabad High Court, protests could only be staged at the Parade Ground in Islamabad.

Earlier on 3rd October, Maulana Fazlur Rehman announced to hold the Azadi march in Islamabad on 31st October.
