CAA extends ban on inbound flights of chartered, private planes till April 11

KARACHI: Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has extended its ban on operations of chartered and private planes up to 11 April 2020 due to COVID-19 epidemic.
According to a notification issued by Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), the extension in the suspension of inbound flight operations of all international passengers, chartered and private aircraft has been imposed.
The notification further said “Cargo planes and special flight for diplomats, national carrier carrying stranded Pakistanis from foreign countries will be given exemptions from the restriction”.
The CAA officials also instructed that all inbound flights shall be subjected to thorough checking for coronaviraus as per given guidelines and procedures, including screening, swab test and quarantine as per the advice of the health, experts and concerned authorities.
