MANAUS: Brazilian footballer Neymar has said that the absence of football due to the COVID-19 is making him anxious.
The 28-year-old said that not knowing when football will be played again is making him worried. He is preparing to make a comeback in the Brazilian team under the supervision of his long-standing physical trainer Ricardo Rosa.
Neymar, despite efforts to keep a healthy routine, said, “I do not know when we will play again which is causing stress.” He expressed sadness that he misses playing, competing, and miss the atmosphere of the club.
“I miss my teammates. It is a real longing for football.” he said by adding, “I am sure that the fans want to see everyone back on the pitch, the earlier the better.”
He also said that he assumed an early decision over postponed schedule, “I hope the decision is made as quickly as possible,” added Neymar.
Neymar, who had scored 18 goals in 22 appearances for PSG before the season was halted in March is a Brazilian professional footballer.
He plays as a forward for Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain and the Brazil national team. Neymar is widely considered one of the best players in the world.
