Jason Priestley, who shared living quarters with Brad Pitt in the ’90s, reminisced about their unique challenge during that time. He revealed on Live! With Kelly and Mark on January 16 that he and the Oscar-winning actor used to engage in a competition to see who could go the longest without taking a shower. According to the Beverly Hills, 90210 star, hygiene wasn’t a top priority for Brad back then.
Reflecting on their unconventional game, Jason expressed disbelief, saying, “We used to play this game to see who could go the longest without showering. I think about it now, and I’m like, ‘Dude, how disgusting. What were you thinking?'” Interestingly, Brad consistently emerged as the victor in this peculiar contest.
However, Jason clarified that he believes Brad has likely adopted better hygiene habits since then. “I don’t think he does that anymore,” Jason assured the cohosts, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos. “But back then, he could go a long time without showering.”
The two actors, now 54 and 60 years old, respectively, were roommates in the ’90s when they were both aspiring actors. Their shared living space was a two-bedroom apartment in what Jason described as the “really crappy part” of Los Angeles, alongside a third friend. During this period, as mentioned in Jason’s 2015 memoir, both were financially struggling, relying on Ramen noodles, generic beer, and Marlboro Light cigarettes.
After Jason landed a role in Beverly Hills, 90210 and Brad achieved fame in Thelma & Louise, their paths diverged, and they lost contact. Despite this, Jason has fond memories of their time together, emphasizing the camaraderie and fun they had during those formative years.
