KARACHI: The Meteorological Department has warned that the Biparjoy cyclone is likely to hit Sindh and Balochistan on June 13 and 14.
According to the PMD, the direction of the storm has changed to the northeast, with wind speeds of 120 to 130 km per hour around the storm.
The Meteorological Department said that waves of 25 to 30 feet are forming around the system and it will take another 36 to 48 hours to assess the direction of the storm.

Apart from this, the storm is likely to hit the coast of Oman, the Indian state of Gujarat, Sindh, and Balochistan. According to the Meteorological Department, on June 13 or 14, there is a possibility of rain with thunder in the coastal belt of Sindh and Balochistan.
The meteorological department has advised fishermen to avoid going into the sea till June 12. On the other hand, in view of the storm Bepar Joy, Commissioner Karachi imposed Section 144 on visiting the sea.
According to the notification, there will be a ban on bathing and hunting in the sea, fishermen in the sea are also at risk, and the ban will be imposed till June 11.
