KARACHI: The Meteorological Department has warned that the Biparjoy cyclone has changed its direction towards Pakistan.
Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfraz said that the Biparjoy cyclone, which is in the Southeast Arabian Sea, has changed its direction and is now moving towards the North and Northeast. Biparjoy is a severe cyclone, with no sign of weakening and the storm has moved northeast in 12 hours, Sarfraz asserted.
The Meteorological Department said that the storm is located 1100 km northeast of Karachi, with strong wind gusts of 130 to 160 km per hour in the center of the storm.

According to the Meteorological Department, the waves are likely to rise up to 25 to 28 feet due to flooding, generally, the waves are 4 to 5 feet high at sea level. It is too early to say which country’s coastal areas will be affected by this storm.
