KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has directed the Sindh government to prepare itself for the worst scenario while dealing coronavirus pandemic in the province.
Chairing a meeting via video link to review the provincial government’s measures to tackle the pandemic, the PPP chairman directed the provincial government to expedite preparations for improving its capacity and capability to deal with the virus.
Bilawal sought support from the federal government and that we have to fight the pandemic jointly. He said that none of the provincial governments could fight against the virus alone.
Bilawal said that the federal government would have to assist every province and provide all necessary equipment to fight against the epidemic. He added that the Sindh government was trying its best to reduce the problems being faced by the people due to the outbreak.
He described unity as need of the hour and said that the provinces were looking towards the federal government with a hope that it will meet the needs of everyone while treating them equally. He urged the need to render untiring efforts for effective enforcement of the decisions through unity to control the outbreak of epidemic across the country.
