Bilawal pays tribute on Z.A. Bhutto’s death anniversary

LARKANA: The Pakistan Peoples Party observed the 41st death anniversary of founder and former prime minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto with simplicity amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and lockdown in the province.
The party had already suspended all political activities and events to commemorate the death anniversary. On the occasion, PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari visited the grave of his illustrious grandfather in Garhi Khuda Bukhsh. He placed a floral wreath and offered Fateha over the grave of the party’s founder.
In his message on the eve of the occasion, Bilawal emphasised that the nation should follow the vision of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto to face the escalating crisis of the coronavirus and save the people from its looming ravages. Bilawal said that true leaders change the destinies of nations and lead with great determination and vision in times of crisis.
The PPP chairman said that following the fall of Dhaka, Pakistan had lost thousands of miles of land to enemy occupation and 90,000 of our soldiers were prisoners of war. “Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto not only got our land and soldiers back, but went on to lay the foundation of our nuclear programme, ensuring our territorial integrity would never be at the mercy of our neighbors again,” he said.
Remembering Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto who was taken from his family and from Pakistan 41 years ago today. Our first democratically elected PM. He fought day & night for the people of this country and died protecting them. #SalaamBhutto #QuaideAwam @BBhuttoZardari @BakhtawarBZ pic.twitter.com/KbUxBZ8GDp
