Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced on Friday that Belarus has offered to welcome over 150,000 young and highly skilled Pakistani workers to contribute to its national development efforts, according to the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP).
Describing the offer as a “gift” to the people of Pakistan, the Prime Minister expressed profound appreciation, emphasizing the mutual economic and human development benefits of the initiative.
The announcement came during Prime Minister Sharif’s official visit to the Republic of Belarus, where he met with President Aleksandr Lukashenko to review progress on bilateral cooperation.
The two leaders held comprehensive discussions during a high-level meeting, accompanied by delegation-level talks that addressed not only bilateral relations but also regional and international matters of shared interest.

Speaking at a joint press briefing alongside President Lukashenko, Prime Minister Sharif underscored the strength and reliability of Pakistan’s human capital. “I assure you that the skilled Pakistani workforce, certified to international standards and nationally accredited, will be a valuable asset to Belarus,” he said.
