The craze of social media has increasingly been forcing young people to do dangerous stunts just to gain likes on the internet. The desire of perfect shorts has led to dangerous consequences on many occasion as a Bangladeshi teen got hit by a speeding train while filming TikTok video in the latest disturbing episode.
One such incident was occurred on October 24, when a 14-year-old boy was hit by a train while recording a TikTok video on the railway tracks.
Footage apparently taken from Shingimari Railway Bridge in Rangpur, Bangladesh, begins with the boys dancing and posing on the track, apparently fully immersed in their filming. At the point where they have all congregated to take a selfie, the train approaches, running into the boy who had stepped the closest to the track.
Precise timing of the video covers the moment of collision through shock and horror in faces of his friends that fully grasp the gravity of things now.
The injured boy whose name is Likhan after the collision was rushed at Rangpur Medical College where he is now undertaking treatment in the hospital’s Neurosurgery Department.
This tragic incident reminds all the risks involved with shooting content in unsafe locations and highlights the need to heighten safety awareness among younger social media users.
