Admiral Mohammad Nazmul Hassan, the Chief of the Naval Staff of Bangladesh, visited Admiral Naveed Ashraf, the Chief of the Naval Staff of Pakistan, at Naval Headquarters.
During his visit, Admiral Hassan will also take part in the AMAN Dialogue and the multinational maritime exercise AMAN 2025. Upon his arrival at Naval Headquarters, he was warmly welcomed by the Chief of the Naval Staff.
A well-drilled contingent from the Pakistan Navy presented a Guard of Honour. The visiting dignitary laid a floral wreath at the Shuhada Monument and was introduced to the Principal Staff Officers at Naval Headquarters, as stated in a news release from the Director General of Public Relations (Navy).
The discussions focused on mutual interests, the regional maritime security landscape, and opportunities for enhanced bilateral naval cooperation between the two nations. Various areas of collaboration, such as training, exchange visits, and joint naval exercises, were also emphasized.
The Naval Chief highlighted the Pakistan Navy’s efforts to maintain maritime security and promote regional peace through Regional Maritime Security Patrols.
Admiral Hassan expressed appreciation for the Pakistan Navy’s contributions to fostering collaborative maritime security in the region. The Chief of the Naval Staff of Pakistan thanked Admiral Hassan for his participation in the AMAN Dialogue.
This visit is anticipated to further strengthen and expand defense relations between the two allied countries, promoting greater collaboration and solidifying ties between their naval forces.
