Karachi: 5 killed in dumper accidents within 24 hours

The death toll from dumper accidents in Karachi over the past 24 hours has risen to five. The areas of the city where these accidents occurred include Shah Latif Town, Korangi, and Steel Town.

In the latest incident, a dumper ran over a brother and sister. The accident took place in Karachi’s Shah Latif Town, where a motorcyclist was killed after being hit by a dumper, while his sister was injured. The deceased brother was taking his sister out for a meal to celebrate her victory in a martial arts competition.

Hussnain’s friend, who was killed in the accident, stated that he was the only son of his parents and the only brother of two sisters. His father works in Saudi Arabia, and the family resides in Karachi’s Landhi area. Following Hussnain’s death, the number of fatalities from dumper accidents in Karachi has reached five.

Earlier, a dumper ran over pedestrians on the road from Ibrahim Hyderi to Korangi Crossing, resulting in the deaths of three people.

This tragic incident occurred on Saturday between Ibrahim Hyderi and Korangi Crossing, where a dumper crushed several pedestrians. As a result of the horrific accident, three people lost their lives, prompting enraged citizens to set the dumper on fire.

Heavy vehicles, including dumpers and trucks, continue to claim lives in Karachi, with numerous citizens losing their lives in multiple incidents. After the incident between Ibrahim Hyderi and Korangi Crossing, the dumper driver fled the scene.
