The Balochistan government has instructed the Quetta Municipal Administration not to kill stray dogs and cats, emphasizing humane treatment for animals.
According to the announcement, the administration is now following international TNVR (Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate, Release) standards to manage stray animals safely.
The program is being carried out with support from the organization Panah Quetta.
Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti urged the public to cooperate with the government’s measures, stressing the importance of protecting animals.
He added that the animal protection policy is being implemented consistently to ensure the welfare of stray dogs and cats across the province.
This move comes amid growing awareness of animal rights and the need for safe, humane solutions for managing stray animal populations.
