NEW DELHI: Around 3,000 Sikh pilgrims will visit Pakistan from India in April to celebrate the Baisakhi festival.
The pilgrims will stay in the Hasan Abdal city at Gurdwara Panja Sahib from 11th April 11 to 21st April.
Pilgrims will be required to pay visa processing fees of Rs200 with four passport size photographs and valid identity proof and Indian Passport having one-year validity.
Baisakhi is one of the most popular and important festivals celebrated in the state of Punjab and various other parts of India. The festival takes place on April 13 every year, but once in 36 years, it is celebrated on April 14. This vibrant festival marks the commencement of the Sikh New Year.
Sikh pilgrims arrived in Pakistan in November 2019 as Prime Minister Imran Khan inaugurated the historic Kartarpur Corridor to facilitate entry of Sikh pilgrims from India to visit one of their religion’s holiest in Narowal district of Pakistan.
