Aggressive batter of the national cricket team, Fakhar Zaman, has been declared unfit and will not be able to play for Pakistan in the upcoming matches of the Champions Trophy, media sources have confirmed.
According to details, Fakhar Zaman sustained an injury while fielding during Pakistan’s first match against New Zealand and had to leave the field twice due to knee pain. After receiving treatment, he returned to the field and continued fielding until the end of the innings. However, his injury is now deemed serious.
Experts believe that Fakhar Zaman will not be able to open for the national team. According to the decision announced by the national cricket board, Saud Shakeel and Babar Azam will open the innings. Yesterday, Fakhar Zaman could not open against New Zealand and had to wait for 20 minutes due to being off the field.
Later, Fakhar Zaman came to bat at the fourth position, but his physical condition did not seem right, and he appeared to be in pain. Yesterday, the team management stated that Fakhar Zaman complained of tightness in his chest, and a final decision regarding him will be made after his medical reports are reviewed.
