Awareness booklet issued on COVID-19 safety measures for students

LAHORE: The Department of Primary and Secondary Healthcare has issued an awareness booklet for students to take precautionary measures against the coronavirus.

The book named ‘Let’s Stay Safe’ has been released by the Department of Primary and Secondary Health Care which informs the students about all the safety measures. The booklet also contains interesting exercises for the students.

Secretary Primary and Secondary Health Care Capt. (Retd) Muhammad Usman in this regard said that the risk of coronavirus has now decreased so schools are reopening.

He said that the coronavirus is a dangerous virus that should be treated with precaution and students should follow the instructions given in the book.

It may be recalled that on Monday, the federal government announced the reopening of schools that were closed due to the coronavirus in phases from 15th September. However, strict implementation of SOPs in schools has also been ordered.

Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood said that many thanks to the parents who spent the six months very patiently. SOPs will be applicable to all educational institutions including madrassas, training institutes and action will be taken in case of violation.

Punjab Education Minister Murad Rass said that educational institutions would be opened in Punjab in phases after 15th September, but no school would have a double shift.
