KARACHI: An early-morning robbery in Karachi’s Shah Latif Town has once again raised concerns over the safety and security of citizens where armed suspects allegedly intercepted a vehicle in Sector 17A and escaped after snatching Rs 2.4 million and a mobile phone.
According to police, the incident was reported in the early hours of the morning.
The suspects, who were travelling on a motorcycle, reportedly approached the vehicle and threatened its occupants at gunpoint before fleeing with the cash and mobile phone.
CCTV footage of the incident has also surfaced.
The video appears to show two suspects stopping near the vehicle, while one of them can be seen pointing a weapon towards it. The footage is expected to assist investigators in identifying and tracing the alleged robbers.
Police said a search operation is underway to arrest the suspects. Further investigation is being conducted, while efforts are also being made to collect additional evidence and determine the exact circumstances surrounding the robbery.
