The All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA) on Saturday demanded that road blockades across Sindh must be cleared.
According to APTMA, 25,000 containers carrying the imported raw materials are stuck in the Sindh province due to the blockade of roads that started 11 days ago.
It said that industry in Sindh is suffering to the road blockades in the province. It said that these road blockades have crippled the supply chain system and slowed down production.
APTMA said the Pakistani economy may suffer heavily due to these roads blockades and called upon Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah to direct the authorities to clear the road blockades.
It said that industrialists were cancelling the export orders due to the road blockades.
