WASHINGTON: An American association will provide essential medical supplies for use in Pakistan.
In this regard, the Association of Physicians of Pakistani Descent of North America (APPNA) will provide protective medical clothing, ventilators, and diagnostic kits to the country to fight against the spread of coronavirus pandemic.
A press notification issued earlier stated that the Ambassador of Pakistan to the US, Asad Majeed Khan, has been in contact with APPNA in the matter. The ambassador notified earlier about shortages of essential medical equipment in the country.
Last week, Pakistan received specific medical equipment for battling coronavirus from China. Sindh Governor Imran Ismail received the goods on behalf of the federal government, along with the National Disaster Management Officers (NDMA) and other senior officials at the airport.
The medical supplies included 56,000 coronavirus testing kits, N95 masks, and other medical equipment. Imran Ismail in this regard thanked the Chinese government and the people who supported Pakistan during this difficult time.
