ISLAMABAD: Another earthquake of 5.1 in magnitude has jolted parts of the country today.
This is the second earthquake within a few hours. According to details, the epicenter of the earthquake was the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border while its depth was 223km. There are no reports of casualties or damage.
Tremors were felt in Islamabad, Muree, Shangla, Peshawar, Kohistan, Mansehra, Balakot, Malakand, Sawabi, and surrounding areas.
An earthquake of 5.7 in magnitude was recorded earlier in parts of the country including Islamabad on Tuesday Morning.
That earthquake had jolted Islamabad, Peshawar, Mingora, Swat, Sawabi, Malakand, Dir Bala, Shangla, Nowshera, and surrounding areas.
According to Met Office, the magnitude of the quake was 5.7 at the Richter scale, while its depth was recorded as 112 kilometers beneath the earth’s surface.
The epicenter of the earthquake was Tajikistan. The tremors spread panic amongst locals, although no loss of life and property was reported from any area.
