LAHORE: A recommendation has been made to dismiss two Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) officials over alleged links with Anmol Pinky, according to investigative sources.
The officers named in the inquiry include Constable Ali Qureshi and Assistant Sub-Inspector Kafeel. Both were investigated over suspected contacts with Anmol Pinky as part of an ongoing probe.
Sources said the inquiry was initiated after reports of alleged communications involving Anmol Pinky and individuals linked to criminal activities. The investigation also examined earlier arrests connected to the same network.
The probe included forensic analysis of mobile phones and review of bank account records. Both officers were briefly detained during questioning before being released.
The inquiry report has now been completed, and a formal recommendation for dismissal has been forwarded to senior authorities for further action.
Submission of bank ‘Anmol Pinky’s’ bank records
Earlier, police submitted detailed bank account records of facilitators linked to accused Anmol alias Pinky in a major narcotics case before a local court, revealing financial transactions allegedly connected to drug trafficking.
According to details, significant documentary evidence has emerged in the case involving Anmol Pinky, also known as the “cocaine queen,” who is accused of running a drug supply network in Karachi along with her facilitators.
Police presented financial records of the suspects’ bank accounts in court, which were reviewed as part of the ongoing investigation. The report, claims that money from drug sales was routed through two main facilitators identified as Zeeshan and Sohail.
The report further states that Zeeshan maintained five active accounts across three different banks, while Sohail held two accounts in separate banking institutions. Both accused were reportedly operating these accounts themselves.
