An industrialist, Nanda is married to Amitabh Bachchan’s daughter, Shweta Nanda. He is also the grandson of Raj Kapoor, making him a cousin to Kareena Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor.
Authorities in Uttar Pradesh’s Badaun district booked Nanda following a court directive. He, along with the company’s chairman, managing director, area manager, sales manager, Shahjahanpur dealer, and other officials, has been accused of fraud.
