Amazon Prime Video has released the teaser for Chhorii 2, the much-awaited sequel to the 2021 horror film Chhorii, starring Nushrratt Bharuccha. This time, Soha Ali Khan joins the cast in a key role, adding to the film’s eerie atmosphere.
According to Indian media, set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on April 11, 2025, the announcement was made via the platform’s Instagram handle, which shared the teaser with the caption: “Ek baar phir… woh khet, woh khatra, woh khauf… #Chhorii2OnPrime, April 11.”
The sequel takes place seven years after the original, following Sakshi and her daughter Ishani, who suffers from a rare condition that makes exposure to sunlight fatal. Their seemingly peaceful life turns into a nightmare when a ghostly figure appears in Ishani’s room, leading to her sudden disappearance.
With the help of Inspector Samar, Sakshi returns to the haunted village in search of her daughter, encountering Daasi, a shape-shifting priestess, along the way.
Packed with chilling moments and suspense, the teaser hints at a gripping horror experience. Nushrratt Bharuccha continues her reign as a horror lead, while Soha Ali Khan’s unsettling transformation adds an extra layer of intrigue.
Vikram Malhotra, CEO of Abundantia Entertainment, expressed excitement over expanding the Chhorii universe, stating, “The success of Chhorii proved that horror resonates when backed by strong storytelling. With Vishal directing again, Nushrratt reprising her role, and Soha in a never-seen-before avatar, we can’t wait for audiences to experience this next chapter.”
Directed by Vishal Furia and produced by T-Series, Abundantia Entertainment, Psych, and Tamarisk Lane Production, Chhorii 2 also features Gashmeer Mahajani, Saurabh Goyal, Pallavi Ajay, Kuldeep Sareen, and Hardika Sharma.
