ISLAMABAD: The National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) has informed that almost 504,000 COVID-19 vaccine doses were provided to federating units for inoculation of front-line healthcare workers.
According to a statement issued today (Saturday), so far, the vaccine distribution to provinces included 118,000 COVID-19 vaccine doses to Punjab, while the maximum vaccine doses of 121,000 were given to Sindh.
“Moreover, 28,000 COVID-19 vaccine doses were provided to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 16,000 to Balochistan, 15,500 to Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT), 11,000 to Asad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and 5,000 to Gilgit Baltistan (GB),” it added.
The COVID-91 monitoring body informed that the vaccine administration to front-line healthcare workers was in progress under the National Vaccine Strategy.
Meanwhile, the COVID-19 has claimed lives of almost 36 people, whereas 1,340 new infections were reported during the last twenty-four hours across the country.
According to the latest statistics, no critical cases were found as 1,362 patients recovered from the disease. A total of 42,332 tests were conducted during the period.
