Television actor Sajid Hasan’s son, Sahir Hasan, was remanded to police custody on Sunday for one day in connection with the Mustafa murder case, following his alleged confession of providing drugs to the prime suspect, Armaghan.
The Special Investigation Unit (SIU) of police presented Sahir Hasan before the judicial magistrate. During the hearing, the investigating officer stated that over 500 grams of drugs were seized from Sahir’s possession.
Sahir Hasan’s lawyer, Faraz Faheem, argued that his client was falsely implicated in the case due to a dispute with Darakhshan Police. He added that Sahir had previously filed a case against the Darakhshan Police for issuing threats.
Sahir Hassan also denied any connection to the murder, stating that he had been wrongfully implicated. “I was taken from my home, and later, the police claimed to have recovered drugs from me,” he told the court.

According to the first information report (FIR), Sahir was allegedly found carrying a black bag containing five packets of drugs, a digital scale, a mobile phone, and cash, with the total weight of the drugs being 557 grams.

Sahir’s Alleged Confession
Sahir allegedly confessed to supplying drugs for the past two years, following his arrest in the Mustafa murder case investigation. Local media, quoting police sources, reported that Sahir also confessed to supplying narcotics to the prime suspect, Armaghan. He was reportedly found with foreign-branded drugs and had purportedly been involved in drug trafficking, causing a ‘stir’ within the business community, bureaucracy, and the entertainment industry.

During the investigation, Sahir said that he used to buy drugs from Basel and Yahya and sell them in posh areas, while Armaghan, a friend, also sold drugs. Sahir recounted, “I met Armaghan for the first time in 2016 when he also sold drugs. Mustafa last came to my house on January 4 to buy drugs and never returned. After Mustafa Amir went missing, Armaghan and Shiraz came to my house on January 15. Armaghan bought drugs worth Rs. 133,000 from me. The drugs I have are brought to Pakistan from California, USA, and are delivered to my door through two private courier companies. The main supplier of the drugs in Karachi is based in Islamabad.”
Mustafa Amir Murder Case
Mustafa Amir, a resident of DHA, was allegedly abducted on January 6, with the case gaining media attention after Sindh police addressed a press conference the following month. Six days later, the Balochistan Police recovered a charred body in a torched car and handed it over to the Edhi Foundation.
On February 14, police claimed that Mustafa’s friends had killed him. They allegedly stuffed his body into the trunk of his car and set it on fire in Balochistan’s Dureji area. Police also arrested the prime suspect’s friend, Sheraz aka Shavez Bukhari, who provided crucial information during the investigation.
The prime suspect, Armaghan, was arrested during a raid at a bungalow in DHA after making a ransom call to Mustafa’s family. Armaghan allegedly confessed to killing Mustafa and chillingly claimed he offered the victim a “chance to escape before setting him on fire.”
