Alarming situation as TikTokers bring OnlyFans-style obscenity to Pakistan’s social media

In Pakistan, social media—once a tool for entertainment and information—has now given rise to a dangerous trend: the open promotion of obscene and indecent content through live shows and videos.

This trend is particularly prevalent on platforms like TikTok, Likee, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts. What began as casual online content has rapidly evolved into a full-fledged business model. Much like the controversial platform OnlyFans, explicit content in Pakistan is now being monetized in an organized and alarming manner.

Prominent names in these live broadcasts include Sumbal Malik, Sufi Gujaratan, Saba Shah, and Jaya Rajput. These individuals openly stream immoral conversations and actions, all in pursuit of fame and financial gain.

Their videos attract thousands of viewers who reward them with digital gifts, coins, and real money. As a result, this type of content has effectively become a form of organized digital pornography.

This growing phenomenon is not only destructive at an individual level but is also deeply harmful to society at large.

The viral video of Alizeh Sahar is just one example of this disturbing trend, plunging the youth into a severe moral crisis. Such videos and live sessions are contributing to mental pollution and eroding traditional family values.

It’s not just women; several men are also part of this content ecosystem. Individuals such as Dr. Iman, Tanzeem Hanjra, Billy Shili, Shakeel Mehr, Sanzila Khan, Aiza Khan, Nimra, Sara, Malang, Senorita, Sheeba, Ali Bhai, Momi, Mah Noor, Wasim, and Haider Shah are regularly featured in similar sessions.

Driven by the desire for followers and financial gain, these content creators consistently prioritize profit over morality.

What is most concerning is the lack of effective action by state institutions, as well as the negligence of social media platforms in addressing this issue seriously. Adding to the problem is the inadequate parental supervision of children’s online activity, which further fuels the spread of such content.

If this flood of obscenity and immorality is not urgently addressed, Pakistani society risks sinking into a moral quagmire from which recovery will be extremely difficult.

It is imperative for the state, parents, and digital media experts to come together and formulate a comprehensive strategy. This strategy must include strict enforcement of existing laws, rigorous monitoring of online platforms, and proper guidance of children within the family setting to protect future generations from further moral decline.
