The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education has announced the results of the 2026 annual matriculation examinations, with female students delivering an outstanding performance and securing several top positions.
In the Science Group for female students, Samia Chaudhry, Imama Muzammil, and Mehroosh Naeem Abbasi jointly secured first position by scoring 1,184 marks out of 1,200. In the Science Group for male students, Abdullah Riaz topped the list with 1,178 marks.
In the General Group for female students, Faryal Imran secured first position with 1,127 marks, while among male students, private candidate Abdullah Masood Tauheedi topped the group with 1,117 marks.
In the Science Group, Makhzara Shahid and Natalia Mehboob jointly secured second position with 1,183 marks. Warda Amjad, Adeeba Zaheer, Momina Shahid, Sana Ijaz, and Aiman Ijaz jointly secured third position with 1,182 marks.
In the General Group for female students, Imama Fatima secured second position with 1,110 marks, while Amreen Mazhar stood third with 1,108 marks.
Among male students, Muhammad Ayan and Muhammad Areeb Khan secured second and third positions with 1,110 and 1,102 marks, respectively.
The position holders attributed their success to their parents’ prayers, teachers’ guidance, and continuous hard work. The students said that regular study, effective time management, discipline, and consistency were essential for achieving success.
