ISLAMABAD: Additional Attorney General of Pakistan Ishtiaq Ahmad Khan has resigned from his designation.
Confirming the resignation of Additional Attorney General Ishtiaq Ahmad Khan, he said that he had resigned from the post due to personal reasons. He further said that he resigned to contest the Pakistan Bar Council elections.
Earlier, Advocate General Punjab Jamal Ahmed Sukhera had resigned. Jamal Ahmed Sukhera said that he had resigned for personal reasons.
Ahmed Jamal Sukhera took over as Advocate General of Punjab in April last year with the approval of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
He had replaced Ahmed Owais in the post against whom the Lahore High Court had initiated contempt proceedings. Jamal Ahmed Sukheera is the brother of Federal Secretary for Commerce and Industries Ahmed Nawaz Sukheera.
