PESHAWAR: The Police has arrested the accused who were involved in the explosion near Peshawar High Court (PHC).
The accused named Ikramullah is a resident of Afghanistan and entered Pakistan via Chaman on 12th December 2019. He was staying near Haji Camp in Peshawar. According to the suspect, he did so in lieu of a huge sum of money offered by a banned outfit.
On 16th December, at least 12 people were injured after an improvised explosive device (IED) exploded in a rickshaw.
The rickshaw was parked in the parking area of the Peshawar High Court (PHC). The explosion had caused panic in the area and vehicles near to the site suffered damage. The mangled wreck of a rickshaw was also spotted at the site.
A report by the Bomb Disposal Team confirmed that the IED had four to five kilograms of explosives.
