LARKANA: A woman, who came to meet her son in jail, has been allegedly beaten up by police in Sindh’s city, sparking outrage among prisoners.
According to details, a mother of a prisoner went to visit her imprisoned son in the jail where she was barred at the gate of Larkana Central Jail by the policeman from meeting her son. Upon resistance, the policeman allegedly tortured her which resulted in outraging prisoners.
Central Jail’s prisoners in reaction took eight policemen hostage and posted their videos on social media, alleging that the prison administration was continuing to persecute them. The detainees can be seen saying that the policeman stopped the mother of the fellow prisoner from meeting and beat her up.

On the other hand, Police maintained that they will release the hostage cops soon. The prison superintendent of police hinted at a strategy to free the hostages, saying the detainees’ allegations and police violence would be investigated.
