KARACHI: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Thursday landed in the red as the bears dominated the session, with the benchmark KSE-100 Index plunging 108 points to close at 45,574.07.
The benchmark index showed mixed activity during the initial part of the session, hitting a day’s high of 45,831.12 points. Subsequently, the market adopted a negative momentum and hit a day’s low of 45,518.74 points. On the other hand, KSE All Share index fell short by 10.10 points, closing at 30,784.15.
Trading volume moved up to 784 million shares today, as compared to 578 million traded in the previous session. The daily traded value inched up to Rs20.8 billion from Rs20.7 billion in the previous session.
The share price of Wyeth Pakistan increased by Rs103.53 to Rs1,484.02 while Colgate Palmolive gained Rs89 to Rs2,889. On the other hand, Philip Morris Pakistan lost Rs37.54 today to close at Rs868.46, while AKD Capital lost Rs33.41 to close at Rs424.58.
