ISLAMABAD: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Islamabad has removed terrorism provisions in the Osama Satti murder case today (Monday) and referred the case to a district and sessions court.

ATC Judge Shah Rukh Arjumand heard the petition seeking removal of terrorism provisions. The court, however, rejected the bail plea of the accused ATS officer Mudassar.

During the hearing, the plaintiff’s counsel, Raja Faisal Younis, announced to challenge the decision in the high court. “If we have to go to the Supreme Court, we will because there is solid evidence against the accused,” the counsel added.

On January 2, police officials intercepted Osama’s vehicle in Sector G-10, Srinagar Highway and fired at him from all sides. The judicial inquiry report of the murder case proves the criminal negligence of the five shooters involved.

The inquiry report revealed that the youngster was not involved in any robbery and was shot 22 times despite his car being stationary. In February the ATC extended the judicial remand of five arrested personnel in Osama Satti murder case for 14 days.
