Worldwide coronavirus cases cross 87 million

Record 37 million Chinese infected with Covid in a single day

WASHINGTON: The global pandemic coronavirus has infected more than 87,640,097 million people and killed 1,890,847 people worldwide.

More than 61.67 million coronavirus patients have been cured in the world and more than 23.47 million are undergoing treatment. The situation in coronavirus is the worst in the United States, with 365,664 deaths and more than 21.579 million reported cases.

India ranks second in the world in terms of coronavirus cases, with 150,151 deaths and more than 1375,000 people being diagnosed with the virus.  The total number of deaths from coronavirus in Brazil is 199,043  and more than 7,874,539 people are affected.

In Russia, more than 3.38 million people have been infected with the coronavirus, bringing the total number of deaths to 59,951. In France, more than 2.68 million people were affected and 66,282 lost their lives. More than 2,774,000 cases of coronavirus and 76,305 deaths have been reported in the UK.

In Turkey, 2,270,101 people have been affected and 21,879 have died. In Italy, more than 2.181 million people have been affected, while 76,329 people have died. The first 100,000 deaths were reported in 89 days. On 5th June, the death toll crossed 400,000. On 20th August, the death toll rose to 800,000.
