ISLAMABAD: Fireworks, firing, and one-wheeling have been banned in the federal capital on the occasion of New Year’s Eve.
DIG Operation Waqaruddin Syed, in this regard, said that the federal police has prepared a security plan and 2,000 personnel will be on duty. All SPs, DSPs will be present on major highways and important places. SHOs remain on security duty in minor highways and markets. CTD troops will patrol the entrances and exits.

“No one will be allowed to take the law into their own hands,” he said. IG Islamabad Amir Zulfiqar Khan has also taken notice against one wheeling. The SSP has directed the traffic to crack down on one-wheelers. SSP Traffic Create teams against one-wheelers, set up special roadblocks to prevent one-wheeling.
